Housing Access for All
Everyone deserves access to safe and stable housing. We need more housing choices at every income level so residents can afford to stay in Alhambra. I want to ensure everyone who lives in Alhambra can continue to live here for the long-term, including young adults, families, and seniors. As a Historic Preservation Commissioner, I believe it is important to preserve the history and character of Alhambra, while also being mindful of our city’s responsibility to build more housing.
As City Councilmember I will work to:
Address homelessness through prevention, partnerships, and support for the Homeless Outreach Mental Evaluation (HOME) Team
Expand affordable housing opportunities through partnerships with nonprofit and public housing providers
Support first-time homebuyers with down-payment assistance and resources
Preserve Alhambra’s historic character while supporting thoughtful housing options that meet the needs of future generations
Protect renters from displacement by supporting policies that help tenants remain in their homes
